Opus is a pretty new audio codec heavily outshining any prior audio codecs.
It’s vastly superior to other codecs in pretty much all ranges of bitrates.
It was designed by a collaboration of groups as an absolutely free audio codec.
“particularly suitable for interactive real-time applications over the Internet”

Yes I am.
Well, I supported for years in the IRC channel #mumble on freenode and the forums, and translated to German in the past as well.
As for my code contributions:
* I created the first real PHP web interface back when there were no user certificates yet and you did not register users in the client directly (via right click).
Called it MumPI

* As for my Mumble code contributions, I guess you can best see them on ohloh - commits filtered by user
