The DooC Riflenade Tournament

Hello Everybody!!!

After some time without a tournament here is the next one.

Its a riflenade tournament. Meaning riflenades only.

The Method:

There are gonna be groups of 8 depending on the amount of player. Its a free for all.
3 rounds of 20 played. The winner of the round is the player with the least deaths.
However all deaths carry over. At the end of the three rounds the top 4 players in each group
(if there is a total of 16 players participating) will progress to the next round. The bottom 4
will go to the losers bracket.
Semifinals are then once again played in groups of 8. 3 rounds and same procedure.

Then finals will be held on te_valhalla between the top two of the semi and they will fight
it out 1v1.

Maps for the first round and semis is yet to be decided.

When is it. the 12th of May.

Registering is simple. Just create a profile and only need to get email to complete regristation and you can join

I don’t think we should require people to register on binarybeast. If they want to, fine. But if they want to sign up for it just here, that's fine with me as well. We can enter them manually so they still appear in the roster, matches etc.

I remember we did our previous rifle tourney on Goldrush, second spawns - in the Last man standing mode (where its first spawn). Don’t quite remember if it was 1on1 or 3on3 though.
It probably has some more edges to shoot around etc than e.g. valhalla.
Dunno if we want to use LMS as well. It would be fresh starts for each round, where both players have full hp, ammo, and spawn from a defined position - rather than one has lower hp and could be anywhere.
I guess for the non-LMS death-counting format we need relatively small maps, and especially without healing stations.

As for the config, I think I did not find my old LMS-Rifle config any more. I may redo it.

Gonna make copies of the 1v1 tournaments.
Yea could do last man standing. There is still a couple things i need to iron out

I made a config, could not test it yet because in contrary to earlier it fails to alloc hunk megs now …

e:/ Yea looks good. wanna hand everyone level 4 engi at start or at least 1 so that they have 8 nades instead of 4
